In 2026 I'm going to Tokyo, Japan! My mission is to serve with River Valley Church - Tokyo. I will be aiding in the launch of the new campus through my creative skillsets in video production and photography. The new church in Tokyo will be set up as a mission through business - a coffee shop and a photo studio during the week and Sunday will be dedicated to worship of our Lord and community building. It's no coincidence that a coffee shop and photo studio align so much with my skillsets and interests!
My time in Tokyo will be fully dedicated to supporting the church in any way that I can as a full-time team member. We have plans and visions to reach new people with Jesus through digital storytelling and content creation. We are praying for rapid growth within the first year of launching and my job is to bring my hard-work and God-given abilities to make that happen.
A Journey to japan
The Lord placed Asia on my heart a long time ago, well before I was ever aware of His plans. From friendships over the years to the opportunities for travel into Asia, the Lord has been orchestrating my steps across the globe. There’s a deep softness, connection, and comfortability with the people and culture of Asia that rests in my heart, and it’s undeniable.
The Greater Tokyo Area is the most populous metropolitan area in the world with over 43 million residents. Roughly 5% of that population is Christian. Compare that to the US, which has over 60% of the population identifying as Christian. In these numbers we find a dramatic disparity of the Gospel per capita. There's an absence of spiritual light in Tokyo and my goal (and our goal as a church) is to let that light shine and spread by preaching the Gospel directly and creatively to anyone who has ears to listen.
the plan
I plan to be on a one-way flight to Tokyo in late April of 2026! At the time of writing this in late November 2025, I have approximately 5 months to get there. My goal is to spend 6 months in Tokyo, working full-time to grow the church in its early stages under the leadership and organization of the Sato family and River Valley Church.
The goal is to raise a financial fund of approx. $10,000 to get me there and keep me there for 6 months. I'm working hard to set aside my own finances to fuel this trip but additional support would be incredible for those of you who feel called to help!
My FAITH
I love the Lord for everything he's done for me, what he's brought me out of, and who he's shaped me to be. My own redemptive story is what fuels me to see others share in the same power of Christ that saved my life. My prayer and scripture life is what keeps my relationship with the Lord grounded. This keeps my eyes set on the greater goods that He has in store for me and for others.
These habits of faith are being built to be used for discipleship in Japan. Helping others find salvation and building up their walk with Christ will be one of my greatest points of emphasis while abroad!
I read the Bible each day, typically in the morning. I structure my reading by picking a book and reading it through, mostly within the New Testament. I also lean on River Valley’s SOAP schedule for scripture to dive into and reading with community.

This mission is not in any way associated with my business nor will it be used to benefit my business. I am not providing a service or product back to donors in any way. This resource page and giving platform is hosted on my business site for function only. This is a personal calling on my life where I will be stepping away from earning my typical income to serve with River Valley Church in Japan. All giving will be used to support this mission directly which does include living expenses abroad.
It is a self-funded mission, meaning that your giving will go directly to me and my mission. Every dollar given will be set aside into a dedicated bank account with an attached debit card for the sole purpose of funding the essentials of my trip such as monthly rent, transportation costs, insurance, and a reasonable meal allowance. Any dollar spent on a personal activity, or experience outside of the essential living cost or church-related expenditures will be paid by me directly. I'm committed to using every dollar given with extreme intention and honor to the Lord. I will provide full transparency at any time to anyone who wants or needs it.
